Information on our handling of personal data (privacy policy)
The protection of your data is important to us. We protect your privacy and your private data. We collect and process your data in accordance with the provisions of existing data protection regulations and on the basis of the statutory provisions of the EU (GDPR) and the Swiss Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG). In this document, we provide you with information about the most important aspects of data processing relating to our website and the personal data relating to you collected, processed and used by us. We therefore ask you to read carefully through the information provided below.

Responsible
Stuco AG Switzerland is responsible as the operator of the websites (www.stuco.com, www.stuco.ch, www.stuco.hu and www.stuco-sicherheitsschuhe.de) for the personal data of the users of the websites as well as data transferred to us by other means in accordance with DSG and GDPR.

Contact with us
If you contact us by form on the website, by e-mail, by telephone or in person, the data disclosed by you for the purpose of handling your enquiry and for follow-up questions will be stored by us for an indefinite period of time. We will not disclose this data to third parties without your consent.

Description and scope of the data processing
When processing data, we take into account the processing principles of lawfulness, proportionality, purpose limitation, transparency – in particular the provision of information – and data security.

Personal data within the meaning of this privacy policy is all information which relates to a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes in particular your name, e-mail address, address, telephone number, fax number, credit card and account details and if necessary your VAT data. It also includes, if applicable, your job and the position held in your company and the name and address of the company. 

Personal data also includes information about your use of our website. In this connection, we collect personal data from you as follows: information about your visits to our website, for example the scope of the data transferred, the location from which you retrieve data from our website as well as other connection data and sources which you retrieve. As a rule, this is done using log files and cookies. Further information on log files and cookies can be found below.

Purpose
We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide the services desired by you such as purchasing via the online shop, wish lists or PSA-Manager.
  • To ensure that our website is presented to you in as an effective and interesting way as possible.
  • To meet our obligations under any contracts entered into by you and us. For example, purchase contracts for goods or services which you source from us.
  • To enable you to participate in interactive offers, if you wish.
  • To inform you about changes, new products or services.

Data storage (online shop)
We point out that, for the purpose of simplifying the purchasing transaction and subsequent contract execution, the IP data of the subscriber is stored along with their surname/first name, address, e-mail and telephone number by the online shop operator in cookies.
In addition, for the purpose of contract execution the following data is stored by us: contact surname/first name, company name, address, e-mail, telephone number, fax number and if necessary position held and job in the company and comments. The data provided by you is necessary for the performance of the contract or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract. Without this data we are unable to enter into the contract with you. Data is not transferred to third parties, with the following exceptions: credit card data transferred to the transacting bank/payment service provider for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, data transferred to the transport/shipping company contracted by us to deliver the goods and data transferred to our tax consultant in order to meet our obligations under tax law. After you cancel a purchase transaction, the product data stored by us is deleted, but not the personal and address data. If a contract is entered into, all data relating to the contractual relationship is stored until expiry of the retention period under tax law (7 - 10 years).

The name, address, e-mail, purchased goods and purchase date are also stored until expiry of the product liability (10 years). The data is processed on the basis of the statutory provisions of the EU (GDPR), its members and Switzerland (DSG).

Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files which are stored on your device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any harm.

Whenever our website is accessed, we collect the following information about your computer or your mobile device (hereafter: “computer”): the IP address, information about the operating system, the request by your browser, the time of this request, the status and the volume of data transferred in this request. We also collect product and version information about the browser used and your computer’s operating system. We also record the website from which our website was accessed. The IP address of your computer is only stored while you use the website and is immediately erased following this visit or is anonymised through abbreviation. We use this data for the operation of our website, in particular in order to detect and eliminate errors on the website, to determine the usage of the website and to make any adjustments or improvements.

Cookies help to make your visit to our website easier, more pleasant and more meaningful in many ways. Cookies are information files which your web browser stores automatically on your device when you visit our website. They remain there until you delete them.

We use cookies for example to store temporarily the services you select and the data you input when you fill out a form on the website, so that you do not need to input the data again when you visit another subpage. Data security/storage locations
All information which you communicate to us is stored on servers in Switzerland, the European Union or the USA. Unfortunately the transfer of information over the internet is not completely secure, which is why we cannot guarantee the security of the data transferred to our website over the internet. However, we protect our website and other systems with technical and organisational measures against the loss, deletion, access to, changing or distribution of your data by unauthorised persons. In particular, your personal data will be transferred by us in encrypted form. For this purpose we use the coding systems SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security).

With regard to marketing and web analysis, we work with service providers and use third-party software. The systems used, Hubspot and Google Analytics, store data in the USA as well as in Europe. These service providers are not used for our sales processes and services and do not have access to commercial data from the business relationship with our customers.

Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties
We will not disclose your data to third parties, unless you have consented to the disclosure of the data or we are entitled or required to disclose the data due to statutory provisions and/or official or court orders. Information may be provided in particular for the purposes of prosecution, warding off danger or enforcing intellectual property rights.

Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this purpose we need your e-mail address and a declaration from you that you agree to receive the newsletter.
You can cancel the subscription to the newsletter at any time. Click in the newsletter on the link to unsubscribe or send your notice of cancellation to the following e-mail address: info@stuco.com. We will then delete your data we use to mail the newsletter without delay.

Amendments to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time with effect for the future. The current version is available on the website. Please visit the website regularly and read the current privacy policy.

Your rights
You have the right to be provided with information, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent and to object.
You have the right to ask for information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can ask for information about the personal data as such, the purpose of the processing, the retention period or, if this is not possible, the criteria used to determine this period, the origin of your data if the data was not collected from you, for information about any automated decision and about the recipients or the categories of recipients of the personal data.
You also have the right to withdraw at any time any consent given to use your personal data. You can assert your aforementioned rights at any time by writing to one of the contact addresses provided below.

If you think that the processing of your data is in breach of data protection law or your rights under data protection law have been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority in your state.
