The products are divided into the following categories:

Skin protection products aim to protect the skin from harmful substances or radiation. These harmful substances may be water-soluble or water-insoluble. Skin protection products are often produced from emulsions, which are referred to as “oil-in-water” or “water-in-oil” emulsions. O/W emulsions (oil enclosed in a water molecule) protect against water-insoluble substances. W/O emulsions are accordingly suited for when dealing with water-soluble substances.
